Jonathan David’s third novel, Lucian Shadow: Rise of Corlee, now available!
March 19, 2004--Jonathan David holds a degree in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University, and he is currently employed as a project manager at a software company based in Western Michigan. While David’s three novels exist as independent stories among varying genre’s, they have begun to combine a natural timeline that will comply in developing a multi-dimensional tale spanning centuries in time. "You're never far from your favorite heroes or most loathsome enemies," David claims.
Lucian Shadow: Rise of Corlee begins in an age where magic and sorcery is to the people of Zah as it is to us today—folklore and bedtime stories. However, as strange events begin to unfold, the people begin to realize that perhaps what they thought to be legend was only a carefully hidden secret. To defeat the ambitions of the enemy, the people of Zah must unite with an old foe and challenge the Corlee on the bloody battlefields amidst the ruins of an ancient city. As the battle heightens, it is learned that perhaps power resides not in the hands of those carrying the mighty sword, but instead with those who are able to use the untapped regions of the mind.
Lucian Shadow; A synopsis:
Breeding confidence from the edge of battle, two political bodies wage war against the other in pursuit of personal agendas. From ancient scripture, the legend of the Lucian Shadow awakens, and the secret poison threatening the Kingdom of Zah’s fragile lands is set loose in revenge of its captivity.
Time falters and beckons our receipt. The predication of survival is judged and granted by the courageous efforts of so very few. A small band of unlikely heroes shall lead a crusade against evil, the valiant assault enough to curse any soul—the bloodshed promising to be horrifying and grotesque.
In the year of our Lord must we rise in defiance to the wicked promises of deceit and hold true to our breast that we are of Zah. Courage is our shield, and the chosen must refuse the taste of defeat for should they fail, our lands shall forever be vexed with the shadow of Lucian.
In a distant land an ancient foe will rise, and the ultimate epic adventure will begin.
