More than 40 million households, or approximately 39% of the U.S. population, regularly choose organic products, according to the Natural Marketing Institute’s 2002 Organic Consumer Trends Report. With organic becoming more mainstream, organic health and spa products are expected to be top-sellers for the holidays.

“It won’t be enough to simply provide natural and organic gifts,” said Swenson. “Of course the purity of the products is most important; however, consumers put just as much significance on the packaging and style of the product. The group makes up 40% of the organic user population, according to the Natural Marketing Institute.
