Young Entrpreneur builds an empire in 30 days.

Elizabeth Smoak-Bartolo, founder of ELLA Cosmetics, a makeup line for Latinas, has been embraced by Latinas worldwide in her first month of operation.

ELLA Cosmetics first debuted in the Miami Herald on February 17th, 2000 and has appeared in 14 publications, received close to 25,000 internet hits, dozens of distribution offers worldwide and a hefty following from Latinas across the globe.

The demand for cosmetics made for Latinas was so great that ELLA Cosmetics found themselves sucked into the mainstream by Hispanic women everywhere looking for solutions to the problematic "pink-face" so infamous among Latina women.

Names like Chismosa, Cinco de Mayo, Despojo and Black Beans puts the fun into ELLA while her skin care line is nothing but business: controlling oily skin for good. ELLA is chock full of products and colors that flatter Latina skin instead of covering up its tropical luster.

"I felt the need to repay my supporters by building avenues especially for them", says Bartolo.

Elizabeth has gone on to reward her followers by creating an online community where Latinas can voice their beauty and health concerns and keep updated on the world's Hispanic news.

Elizabeth, a professional makeup artist with the Florida Grand Opera, shares her talents and love of makeup by volunteering in senior communities. In an effort to give back to a community that has supported her, Bartolo has also pioneered the E.L.L.A. Volunteer Network to assist potential volunteers to develop their skills and find placement in senior communities in their areas.
